    Beautification Projects

Each year, Gateway Garden Club works to keep our community in bloom by maintaining flower beds across Berkeley County. From donating and planting flowers in the spring to weeding, watering, and caring for them through the end of fall, our members are hands-on every step of the way. These locations are divided among local garden clubs, ensuring that our neighborhoods stay vibrant and beautiful season after season. Tending to these gardens is one of our most cherished responsibilities — and one we take great pride in.

Our reoccuring annual care is of

    • War Memorial Park

    • Poor House Farm Park

    • Bishop Monument.

In 2025, we also maintaned the flower beds at Martinsburg Railway Station, and a Blue Star Memorial Marker on I-80 (additional locations change each year).

    10th Annual
Katie's Kritters for Kids Stuffie Drive!

Katie's Kritters for Kids is the heartfelt brainchild of our very own Donna Yost, after her daughter Katie's successful lived transplant in 2016. The charitable project began in 2017 and has become a beloved annual stuffed animal drive, providing comfort to children in pediatric units and child care organizations. Hundreds of stuffed animals (kritters) are delivered in June each year, in celebration of Katie's successful transplant anniversary.

Please join in the fun and celebration of spreading cheer to kids!

What: New small to medium sized stuffed animals, with sales tags attach and/or in the original packaging.
